Summary
A short team exercise made during the first semester of my Master’s Degree. The main goal was to use effectively the knowledge gained during the Basics of Interaction course.
We applied testing and mapping methods to discover problems and propose solutions.
Brief
Analyze a digital-physical system, find strengths and weaknesses, then propose possible solutions.
Outcome
An analysis of the Users’ Journey through the different touchpoints, their emotions and the many signifiers of the system.
Finally, a redesign of the mobile application, that tries to solve the main detected problems.

The What
A multiple touchpoint system to buy movie tickets.

The Why
Users must have control on their cinema experience, from understanding what movies are projected to booking the tickets, with promos and discounts such as membership cards.
The How
Task Overview
We started by analyzing in particular the user's journey to achieve the main goal for which the three touchpoints are used, which is to buy a ticket. In this way we were able to look in detail at the merits and shortcomings of the system interaction.

After testing 3 main touch points of the system of UCI Cinema we decided to analyze with the PREMO system 5 tasks that we felt deserved attention.
Then compiled an Emotional Matrix to find the most important problems.

Problem statement
With the previous research we classified all the detected problems and found some possible improvements.
The Re-design
Finally, we decided to re-design the mobile touchpoint of the UCI Cinema system, modifying the application to create a better experience for the users.
